La Sierra de San Pedro Mártir en Baja California, es un lugar rico en flora y fauna. Gracias a las lluvias, las nieves de inviero y algunos manantiales, corren arroyos en los que habita la trucha de San Pedro Mártir, también conocida como trucha de Nelson, un pez que ha evolucionado completamente aislado, subespecie auténtica de la popular trucha "arcoiris" de Norteamérica.
