L’invecchiamento della popolazione ha portato ad un significativo aumento dei soggetti osteoporotici, con un drammatico innalzamento del’incidenza delle fratture da fragilità che rappresentano la più grave complicanza. È necessario quindi individuare il corretto iter diagnostico terapeutico da intraprendere di fronte ad un paziente fratturato, per poter individuare la fragilità ossea sottostante e evitare così la successiva frattura. L’analisi delle Linee Guida Internazionali ha permesso di individuare i key points, segnalandone i livelli di evidenza da seguire per la diagnosi, per lo studio dei fattori di rischio, la diagnostica strumentale, il rischio di caduta, la somministrazione di calcio e vitamina D e la terapia farmacologica antifratturativa. 10 Red Flags che rappresentano lo strumento più valido per ottenere una corretta individuazione del paziente fratturato ed ottemperare ad una gestione mirata a ridurre il rischio di una mancata diagnosi e diminuire il rischio di frattura. |
