Il libro ripercorre l’evoluzione del pensiero cosmologico moderno, partendo da Herschel e passando per i lavori della Leavitt, di Shapley, Hubble, Friedmann, Lemâitre, Gamow fino all’affermazione del modello del Big Bang con l’inflazione e alla recente scoperta dell’energia oscura come motore dell’espansione cosmica accelerata. |
