He is a member of the Instituto López Piñero and has been a visiting researcher at the universities at Exeter and Leeds, the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (Berlin), the Chemical Heritage Foundation (Philadelphia), and the Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine (London).
