520 | _aThe construction industry has an enormous responsibility in terms of achieving the 17 UN SDGs and climate targets. On the other hand, there is a variety of potentials and innovations to increase its global competitiveness with sustainable, human-controlled AI on the basis of a European quality seal. This dissertation examines how a consistently pursued corporate digital responsibility approach can promote innovation in the construction industry 4.0 and thus provides ne ideas for digital corporate strategies. The study comes to the conclusion that the human factor forms the basis for shaping a socially sustainable digital transformation. It shows how innovative technologies can support people efficiently, productively, safely and sensibly. The responsibility that company management bears for this is explicitly worked out and key factors for the success of digital corporate strategies are presented, without neglecting the necessary legal, political, social and educational framework conditions.
